At the ceremony, VOV President Do Tien Sy entrusted the VOV Traffic Department with key tasks, including providing reliable, timely and rich content on traffic safety, logistics, and marine economic development; applying modern technology in production and broadcasting to expand access and improve listener experience.
He said: “We believe that the launch of the Coastal Traffic Channel will accompany not only fishermen, but also contribute to Voice of Vietnam’s fulfillment of its mission as a key multi-media agency.”
On August 8, in Thanh Cong commune, Cao Bang province, Voice of Vietnam inaugurated the Phia Oac FM transmitter station. This is part of the project "Investing in AM/DRM transmission network covering the central coastal areas and Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago (Da Nang) and an FM transmission network covering the northeast and southwest border areas".

Phia Oac project marks a step to concretize the Party and State’s policies on strengthening information in border areas, contributing to affirming national sovereignty on radio waves, and firmly protecting the Fatherland's borders.
