VOV Coastal Traffic Channel debuts

(VOVWORLD) -The Voice of Vietnam (VOV) on Wednesday inaugurated its Coastal Traffic Channel to meet the needs for traffic information and safety in Vietnam’s coastal region.

The project is debuted when Vietnam is celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2), and the founding of the Voice of Vietnam (September 7).

At the ceremony in Hanoi, VOV President Do Tien Sy affirmed the pioneering role of the Voice of Vietnam in information dissemination. He entrusted the VOV Traffic Department with key tasks, including providing reliable, timely and rich content on traffic safety, logistics, and marine economic development; applying modern technology in production and broadcasting to expand access and improve listener experience.

“We believe that the launch of the Coastal Traffic Channel will accompany not only fishermen, but also contribute to Voice of Vietnam’s fulfillment of its mission as a key multi-media agency,” Mr. Sy said.

Celebrating momentous events of the nation, the Voice of Vietnam is introducing to the public many meaningful programs. The 80-hour special political program themed "80 years of the Great Journey" will be broadcast on VOV channels and livestreamed on VOV digital platforms, from 6:00 a.m. on August 31 to 2:00 p.m. on September 3. The program’s topics are Revolutionary Autumn; Journey of Freedom; Radiant Vietnam and Hello to the New Era.

From August 18 to September 7, VOV will publicize the podcast series "Born in 1945" consisting of 15 episodes, including VOV’s birth date, Voice of Vietnam during the days of resistance against France; VOV during the resistance against America; VOV and national renewal; Voice of Vietnam-Voice of compatriots; People behind the waves; Sound of time, VOV’s digital transformation; and VOV advancing with the nation.
