Under the law, which will take effect on January 1, 2026, joining the UN peacekeeping forces, will be the armed forces, civilian forces including officials, civil servants, and public employees equipped with professional technical means to carry out UN peacekeeping tasks.
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong, said: "Once in effect, the law will help promote the image of Vietnam as a peace-loving nation, a trusted partner, and an active, responsible member of the international community. Vietnam is ready to join hands in addressing global challenges, maintaining peace, fostering development cooperation, and safeguarding national interests through peaceful means."
On the same day, the National Assembly passed a Resolution for the exemption of agricultural land use tax, the Resolution on tuition fee’s exemption and support for preschool children and general education students.
