On Saturday, hundreds of people gathered at Hostage Square in Tel Aviv, Israel, to protest the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip. The protest erupted after two armed groups, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, released video showing Israeli hostages looking emaciated and sick from lack of food. Families of hostages warned that the escalating fighting in Gaza is threatening the lives of their loved ones.

Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, declared that the  army will continue to fight relentlessly if no hostage exchange agreement is reached.
