According to public broadcaster KAN, the message was delivered to Iran via phone calls between Netanyahu and Putin amid concerns that Tehran might strike Israel preemptively to avert a possible Israeli attack.
Israeli authorities haven’t confirmed the report. But Netanyahu told the Knesset, Israel's house of representatives, on Monday that Israel sent Iran the message that if Israel is attacked, Iran will face “very severe consequences.”
The Palestinian Health Authority reported Monday that at least 4 people were killed and 10 others injured in two drone strikes by the Israeli military on a Palestinian tent in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that the Israeli air force targeted a Hamas militant in southern Gaza, asserting that the gunman had crossed the "Gold Line," violating the ceasefire and posing a dangerous threat to Israeli soldiers, forcing the air force to act to eliminate the threat. The IDF announced it had targeted Hamas and Hezbollah objectives in 4 villages in southern Lebanon.
The Syrian news agency SANA reported Monday that a Syrian delegation led by Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani participated in a new round of talks with Israel in France, mediated by the US, aimed at reaching a security agreement between Syria and Israel. The negotiations focused on reactivating the Agreement on Disengagement signed between Israel and Syria in 1974, and ensuring the withdrawal of Israeli forces to their positions held prior to the ousting of former Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad in December 2024.
