He stressed the importance of “adhering to this agreement in light of the escalation that nearly plunged the region into chaos and violence.”

French President Emmanuel Macron emphasized the importance of all parties respecting the truce during a call with Prime Minister Netanyahu, adding that  France and Israel “share the same objective: that Iran must never acquire nuclear weapons.”

During a meeting with his G7 counterparts in the Netherlands, Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya said Wednesday that Japan will continue to make all necessary diplomatic efforts in coordination with its partners and the international community.

The Republic of Korea welcomed the ceasefire announcement, South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, and, as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, Korea will continue to engage in international efforts to promote peace and stability in the Middle East.
