Trump expressed his hope that Hamas will accept the agreement, warning that no better offer will be forthcoming and that the situation will only deteriorate if the proposal is rejected.
Earlier, Trump met with US representatives and Israeli officials to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip. The meeting was also attended by US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Vice President JD Vance, and Ron Dermer, senior advisor to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Trump is scheduled to meet with Netanyahu at the White House early next week. He said Netanyahu is determined to end the war in Gaza quickly and Israel, too, wants a ceasefire.
