Defense Ministry vows best conditions for foreign military delegations at upcoming parade

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam is making thorough preparations for a grand military parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).

Military contingents from Russia, China, Laos, Cambodia, and Belarus, will take part in the event, which honors the support of international friends for Vietnam’s cause of national construction and defense.

Deputy Minister of National Defense Nguyen Truong Thang said the ministry is finalizing all logistics, medical support, security, and other arrangements to ensure the best conditions for the foreign guests.

“We must give our utmost. Service attitude is paramount as it reflects the hospitality of the Vietnamese people and affirms Vietnam as a welcoming destination. We are representing not only the Vietnam People’s Army but also every Vietnamese citizen. Let us spread goodwill, express gratitude for past support and appreciation for future cooperation, and fulfill this mission with excellence,” he said. 

Deputy Minister Thang emphasized the importance of absolute security and safety for all activities involving foreign delegations.

He said the event is a key defense diplomacy task with deep political, military, and diplomatic significance, contributing to enhancing the prestige and international standing of the Vietnam People’s Army.
