Since the beginning of 2025, Quang Ninh has welcomed nearly 40 international cruise ships with nearly 50,000 tourists aboard, an increase of 25% over the same period last year.

Nguyen Lam Nguyen, Deputy Director of Quang Ninh’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: “We have identified cruise ships as a major tourism product that need resources, facilities, personnel and communication promotion. The cruise season is mainly from September to April of the following year. This year, even in the summer, cruise ships from Europe, Japan, and China have come to Ha Long, which affirms Quang Ninh's tourism globally."

Quang Ninh province aims to welcome 20 million visitors, including 4.5 million international visitors, in 2025.
