They highlighted the importance of delegation exchanges, particularly between the two parliaments and the Vietnam–France Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group, to deepen mutual understanding and legislative collaboration.
Chairman Man underlined the importance of the visit, calling recent progress in economic, trade, and investment cooperation key pillars of the bilateral relationship. He also expressed hope for deeper collaboration in emerging sectors such as the green economy and the digital economy, high tech, artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, smart cities, agriculture, local-level partnerships, and trilateral cooperation.

President Macron welcomed the role of Vietnam’s National Assembly in strengthening friendship and multifaceted cooperation with France. He proposed closer inter-parliamentary cooperation, particularly in facilitating the ratification of bilateral agreements and treaties.
The French leader said he would instruct relevant French agencies to accelerate procedures for ratifying the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement, and would also raise the issue of Vietnam’s seafood exports with the EC, aiming for an early removal of the IUU yellow card.
On regional security, Macron reiterated France’s commitment to upholding freedom and safety of navigation, and the sovereignty of countries in line with international law. Both sides stressed the importance of resolving disputes in the East Sea (South China Sea) through peaceful means and legal frameworks.
