Speaking to the press on Thursday, President Trump said that beginning July 4, his administration would begin issuing formal notifications to countries, outlining the new tariffs they will be subject to starting next month, as negotiations enter their final phase.
The reciprocal tariffs for countries failing to secure an agreement with the US will range from 10–20% up to 60–70%.
This announcement comes just days before the current suspension of tariff enforcement expires on July 9, 2025
