(VOVworld) – The Quang Nam War Veterans Association on Monday held a meeting with 200 veterans who are now fishermen involved in off-shore fishing in the province.

Representatives from the provincial border guard and marine police zone 2 explained the Vietnamese Law of the Sea, the East Sea situation, and the close cooperation of the marine police and fishermen while working at sea. The provincial War Veterans Association has 34,000 members including 2,100 off-shore fishermen. The Association gave 290 gifts worth 20 USD each to outstanding fishermen.
