In a statement released Monday, the Israel Defense Forces reported that over the past 24 hours, Israeli airstrikes targeted 160 sites across the Gaza Strip, destroying multiple facilities and killing dozens of Hamas militants.
Palestinian media and the Health Ministry said that the latest Israeli attacks have killed at least 20 people as of Monday morning.
A United Nations official said that 20 trucks carrying food are expected to be cleared for entry into Gaza on Monday. These are the first humanitarian aid shipments allowed into the area since March 2, when Israel began a total blockade on aid deliveries from outside, aiming to increase pressure on Hamas over the hostage crisis.
