Long lines of mourners dressed in black gathered along the streets leading to Enghelab Square in Tehran, before accompanying the funeral procession to Azadi Square, several kilometers away.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, along with senior government officials and military commanders, joined the ceremony.

Among the 60 victims were at least 16 scientists, 10 senior military commanders, as well as 4 women and 4 children.
