At the meeting, representatives of Finland’s major corporations shared innovative ideas, experiences, and specific directions for cooperation between the two countries.
Party General Secretary To Lam said: “We encourage Finnish enterprises to invest sustainably and for the long term in Vietnam, transfer advanced technologies, and collaborate in research and development as part of Vietnam’s innovation ecosystem. Vietnam prioritizes cooperation in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, focusing on developing key and emerging industries, energy, transportation, and construction infrastructure, as well as industries applying atomic energy, green energy, clean energy, space technology, and quantum technology. We also look forward to cooperation in maritime economics, logistics, and the development of smart seaports.”
Later that day in Helsinki, Party General Secretary To Lam met with staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community from Nordic countries, including Finland, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. There are currently about 16,000 Vietnamese people living in Finland.
