The province aims to develop its tourism industry in a sustainable way, in which sea and island tourism is the spearhead, cultural tourism is the focus, and ecotourism is the foundation.
In addition to the unique natural scenery, Ly Son island attracts tourists with its festivals and activities including an exhibition on Ly Son’s cultural heritage of the sea and islands with hundreds of precious artifacts and documents. Le Van Ninh is Vice Chairman of the Ly Son District People's Committee.
“Via this exhibition, we want to give visitors an insight into the historical and legal evidence proving Vietnam’s sovereignty over Spratly and Paracel, and promote the images of its people and cultural features to international friends,” Ninh said.
Sa Huynh, 60 kilometers south of Quang Ngai city, has a beautiful beach and is well-known in the central region for salt-making beds.
“Preserving relics in the area, especially the special national relics, is the responsibility of the locality. The region, especially Duc Pho town, has to raise its people’s awareness on protecting the ecological environment and the landscape of the relic site,” Nguyen Tien Dung, Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said.
The project on developing tourism in Quang Ngai province to 2025 with a vision to 2030, sets seas, islands, Sa Huynh culture, and Ly Son island the core value of tourism resources.
