Coast Guards of Vietnam, Japan strengthen cooperation

(VOVWORLD) - A working delegation of the Vietnam Coast Guard (VCG), led by Colonel Le Thanh Hai, Deputy Commander of Coast Guard Region 1 this week paid courtesy calls on the Fukuoka Port Authority of Region 7 of the Japan Coast Guard, the Fukuoka Prefectural Government, and the Port and Airport Authority of Fukuoka city.

At the meetings, two sides expressed confidence that the visit of the coast guard ship CSB 8004 will be a success, contributing to strengthening exchanges, sharing experience, and consolidating ties between the maritime law enforcement forces of the two countries.

It will also deepen cooperation between the authorities and people of Fukuoka Prefecture and Fukuoka city and Vietnamese people, contributing to the comprehensive Japan–Vietnam partnership.
