Comments on revisions to the Law on Anti-Corruption at the event will be collected and delivered to the upcoming National Assembly session. Former Head of the National Assembly’s Legislative Research Institute, Dr Nguyen Dinh Quyen, said the law should include specific remedies and criminal procedures: “The Law on Anti-Corruption’s scope of application overlaps with numerous relevant laws relating to criminal procedure, investigation, inspection and auditing. We have to amend other laws to ensure consistency.”
At the workshop, World Bank and UN representatives suggested that the courts order the accused return illegal interests resulted from unfair and unlawful profiteering.
