After a victory last week at the Lagos International Classics 2024 in Nigeria, with 4,000 points added to his total, Phat now has 27,780 points.
Phat who was born in 1998 could break into the world’s top 60 and achieve the best ranking of his career, if he continues to perform well in upcoming tournaments.
The Vietnamese badminton player won an international tournament in Uganda in February this year.
In the women’s singles ranking, Nguyen Thuy Linh also moved up one spot to No 22 in the world.
