In an interview with Asian Telegraph Qatar on the significance and outcomes of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit to Qatar from October 30 to November 1, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son described the visit as a key milestone in Vietnam-Qatar relations, reaffirming the commitment of both nations' leaders and citizens to elevate their partnership to a new level—strengthening mutual trust, fostering more comprehensive ties, and unlocking greater opportunities for collaboration.
Son said the visit yielded important and practical results, significantly enhancing friendship and cooperation between the two countries. Several essential documents were signed, providing a foundation for advancing cooperation across various fields. Notable achievements included breakthroughs in economic, trade, and investment cooperation, creating fresh momentum and expanding opportunities in both established and emerging sectors.
Mr. Son noted that Vietnam and Qatar have the potential to deepen their partnership in key areas, including energy and renewable energy, trade and investment, Halal cooperation, education, research, culture, and tourism.
He expressed confidence that the success of this visit will lead to further growth in Vietnam-Qatar relations.
Both nations will strive to build a sustainable partnership, delivering practical benefits to their citizens and contributing to regional and global peace, cooperation, and development.
