The NA is to debate legislation, oversight work next week

At its meeting on Monday which will be broadcast live on television and radio, the National Assembly will review the socio-economic development plan this year and outline the plan for next year, and the implementation of the Constitution, laws, and resolutions of the National Assembly as well as ordinances and resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee.

High on the agenda will also the policies for adjusting the National Land Use Plan for 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 and adding state capital to the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (VCB).

Throughout the week, the National Assembly will debate several important draft laws, including amendments to the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army, the Law on Geology and Minerals, the amended Law on Public Investment, and updates to laws on Planning, Investment, Public-Private Partnerships, Bidding, Securities, Accounting, Independent Audit, State Budget, Public Asset Management, Tax Administration, and National Reserves.

Additionally, discussions will focus on the investment policy for the National Target Program on Drug Prevention and Control to 2030, a draft resolution on special mechanisms and policies to address project and land challenges in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Khanh Hoa province, and a draft resolution on piloting the handling of evidence and assets in criminal investigations, prosecutions, and trials.

The National Assembly will also deliberate on adjustments and supplements to the state budget estimate.
