(VOVworld)- German investment to Vietnam has increased in recent years, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

There are 244 German investment projects in Vietnam with a total registered capital of more than 1.3 billion USD, ranking 22^nd out of 101 countries and territories investing in Vietnam. A proposal to set up Germany's Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam has been submitted to the Vietnamese government. According to Mr. Sigmar Gabriel, German Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economics and Energy, Vietnam attracts increasing foreign investment due to its political stability, dynamic economy, high growth rate and reforms of investment climate: “German enterprises have a keen interest in Vietnam. Vietnam’s economic recovery, especially in the industrial and construction sectors and its efforts to improve the investment climate have inspired foreign investors including those from Germany. The transparent licensing procedures and legal system, and favorable infrastructure in Vietnam are attractions for foreign investors”.
