According to a government resolution, visa exemptions will applicable to citizens of Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Switzerland.
The policy will take effect from August 15, 2025 to August 14, 2028. Vietnam currently offers unilateral visa exemptions to citizens of 24 countries.
The Vietnam National Authority of Tourism says Vietnam’s more open visa policy has been a key driver of recent tourism success, paving the way to attract 22-23 million foreign visitors this year.
