At the talks following the ceremony, Minister Phan Van Giang proposed that the two sides strengthen cooperation in multiple areas and create favorable conditions for their defense enterprises to engage in defense industry, military trade, and logistics-technical collaboration.
He urged both countries to support each other’s participation in multilateral activities, explore additional fields of mutual need and potential, and consider opening defense attaché offices in each other’s capitals.
He affirmed that Vietnam is ready to welcome Azerbaijani military cadets to study Vietnamese at the Military Science Academy and attend international defense officer courses at the Vietnam National Defense Academy.

Senior Lieutenant General Zakir Hasanov Zakir Hasanov expressed his hope that the two countries will promote defense cooperation, making practical and effective contributions to bilateral relations.
The two ministers signed a Letter of Intent between the Ministries of Defense of Vietnam and Azerbaijan on military training cooperation.
