This was Vietnam’s seventh year participating in the competition and its best results to date.

The gold medalists were Nguyen Tran Hieu from Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted and Nguyen Le Dang Khoa from the High School for the Gifted under Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.

The European Physics Olympiad is open to high school students from European countries and invited nations, including Vietnam. This year’s competition took place in Bulgaria from June 13–17, drawing 200 students from 29 European countries and 10 invited nations.
