Late October to mid-November is peak fishing season for the central region. The surveillance force has strengthened direct communication at sea, distributed leaflets, monitored vessels, recorded fishing logs, and used specialized equipment to ensure fishermen observe maritime boundaries and steer clear of foreign waters.

The team has distributed fishermen 188 national flags and 831 leaflets, which clearly outlines IUU regulations, to help raise fishermen's awareness and prevent violations while maintaining their livelihoods.

Vietnam is doubling down on implementing the European Commission's recommendations on IUU fishing. The Fisheries Resources Surveillance Force No. 3's strict handling of violations have helped reinforce the credibility of Vietnam's fishing industry, strengthen disciplines in fishing practices, and protect marine resources.
