The statement came at a ceremony in Kremlin at which new ambassadors to Russia presented their diplomatic credentials, including the new US ambassador Jon Huntsman. Putin said the current state of relations between Moscow and Washington is not satisfactory. He said Moscow stands for constructive, predictable, and win-win cooperation only on the basis of mutual respect, respect for national interests and non-interference into each other’s internal affairs. He offered Russia’s condolences for Monday’s deadly shooting attack in Las Vegas, which killed 59 people and injured 500 others.
After the ceremony, Huntsman pledged his effort to restore trust between Russia and the US and boost bilateral relations based on mutual concerns.
