The leaders “reaffirmed their steadfast will to continue to lead the bilateral relations to a high level," it added.
During the meeting, Putin said Russia will "always remember" North Korea’s support for Russia’s “special military operation” in Ukraine. He said the two countries' relations are "special ones of trust, friendship and alliance", KCNA added. Kim said North Korea will fully support Russia's efforts to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The leaders “exchanged candid opinions on important international and regional issues," KCNA said, but provided no further details.
On Wednesday, Russian media reported that President Putin has invited North Korean leader Kim to visit Russia.
