According to Peskov, Russia was grateful to US President Donald Trump for the efforts to resolve the Ukraine conflict through diplomatic channels. The Kremlin also said European powers were hindering the US’s efforts to achieve peace.

Earlier, President Vladimir Putin said Russia favored resolving the conflict with Ukraine through peaceful means while emphasizing the need to eliminate the root causes of the conflict.
