During his stay, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend the expanded 2025 BRICS Summit and conduct official activities in Brazil at the invitation of Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
This is the first time Vietnam is participating as a Partner Country at the BRICS Summit, an multilateral cooperation mechanism of emerging economies that is gaining increasing political and economic significance.

Prime Minister Chinh is scheduled to attend and deliver remarks at several high-level discussions, including one on “Strengthening Multilateralism, Economic and Financial Issues, and Artificial Intelligence,” and another on “Environment, COP30, and Global Health.”
He is also expected to attend the announcement of the Leaders’ Framework Declaration on Climate Finance and the launch of the BRICS Partnership for the Eradication of Social Epidemics.

The Prime Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with senior leaders of Brazil and other countries, attend the Vietnam–Brazil Business Forum, meet with executives of major Brazilian corporations, and engage with the Vietnamese community and students living and studying in Brazil.
