Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang said that amid global and regional watershed changes, the trip’s diverse bilateral and multilateral activities will promote the goals and tasks of the Politburo’s Resolution 59 on international integration in the new context.

This is Vietnam’s first participation as a partner country in the BRICS Summit, a multilateral cooperation mechanism for emerging economies that is becoming increasingly influential economically and politically.

According to Deputy Minister Hang, Vietnam's attendance at the Summit as a partner country affirms its responsible contribution to multilateral mechanisms in order to enhance the voice and role of developing countries, promote international solidarity and multilateralism in line with international law, and deepen the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and BRICS member countries.
