Mr. Phong said 2019 is chosen as the Year of Youth Volunteers to promote the charitable spirit of young Vietnamese. He hailed youth members’ active participation in volunteer work for community development: “Students have played an important role in the volunteer movement. We also aim to attract the participation of high school pupils. Volunteer work is now considered as a criteria for performance evaluation at many universities and colleges to encourage youth participation in community development”.
