September 1 recorded the largest number of visitors – 1.05 million. There were about 900,000 visitors on September 2 and 1 million on September 7.
These impressive numbers show the public’s special interest in this major event at the newly-built National Exposition Center to mark Vietnam’s National Day. Free art performances and film screenings also drew a large number of spectators.
Themed “80 Years of Independence, Freedom, and Happiness,” the indoor and outdoor exhibition with more than 230 booths spans nearly 260,000 m2 in Hanoi's Dong Anh commune.
It is considered the largest exhibition ever held in Vietnam, featuring 28 ministries and central agencies, 34 provinces and cities, and more than 110 enterprises.
The exhibition was initially planned to close on September 5, but extended for 10 more days to September 15.
