80-year national achievements showcased at Vietnam Exposition Centre

(VOVWORLD) - An exhibition of national achievements celebrating the 80th anniversary of the National Day (September 2), themed “80-Year Journey of Independence–Freedom–Happiness,” opened at the Vietnam Exposition Centre in Dong Anh commune of Hanoi on August 28.

The exhibition, the largest ever, highlights eight decades of achievements of 28 ministries, central agencies, 34 localities and 110 enterprises with more than 230 booths.

Other delegates include incumbent and former Politburo members, Party and government leaders, representatives of diplomatic missions, international organizations, and enterprises.

In his opening remarks, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stresses that the exhibition embodies the contributions of the entire Party, people, and armed forces over 80 years of the Vietnamese Revolution, with broad participation from central and local agencies as well as the business community.

The Prime Minister describes the exhibition as a ‘living classroom’ that makes history accessible, inspires younger generations, and nurtures the aspiration for Vietnam to advance into a prosperous and civilized new era.

Spanning 900,000 m², the Vietnam Exposition Center has vast indoor and outdoor spaces, three international-standard conference halls accomodating 5,000 guests, and modern high-end facilities.

The exhibition runs from August 29 to September 5, open daily 9 a.m. – 10 p.m.
