In an interview with the Financial Times, Peskov said the interruption of talks was understandable given the dangerous escalation of hostilities in the Middle East. He stated that Russia remains open to the possibility of a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine, and indicated that the situation on the ground is developing favorably for Moscow.
Earlier, on March 13, the Russian news agency RIA Novosti quoted Dmitry Peskov as saying that Russia hopes a new round of trilateral talks on Ukraine will be held soon. Although there was no information about the time and location of the talks, but according to the Kremlin spokesman, Russia appreciates the US's role as a mediator to promote a peaceful solution.
