Responding to remarks from the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky about possible Russian security guarantees for Ukraine, Peskov said security guarantees, along with territorial issues, are on the negotiating table.

Peskov said Monday that Russia remains committed to the talks and its approach is unchanged, and that Russia continues to value US mediation efforts, but that Moscow trusts itself first and foremost and will be guided by its own interests.

President Zelensky said he hopes talks with Russia will resume soon, despite tensions in the Middle East. He said a new round of negotiations could be held between Thursday and Sunday, possibly in Turkey or Switzerland, and expressed his hope that the talks will move toward ending the conflict.
