The program has attracted more than 2,000 members. Branches at the grassroot levels are also holding contests about the upcoming elections for the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels. They have visited and presented gifts to Vietnam's Heroic Mothers and policy beneficiaries, sponsored orphaned children and provide support to women in difficult circumstances and remote areas.
Vice Chairwoman of the municipal Women's Union Le Thi Anh Nguyet said, “We are celebrating both election day and the International Women’s Day with a lot of exciting activities. Our branches at all levels are also sponsoring more orphaned children. All of these activities will help raise awareness about our women’s traditions, honor their contributions, help women connect, and contribute to promote the image of modern Vietnamese women.”
