According to Israel’s state-run Kan TV, the decision followed consultations between Prime Minister Netanyahu, Defense Minister Israel Katz, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, and other senior officials, amid growing international concern over the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Israel announced the resumption of humanitarian airdrops into Gaza starting Saturday night (local time), along with additional measures aimed at providing aid and improving conditions in the Palestinian territory.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said the airdrop operations would be conducted in coordination with international aid organizations, delivering essential supplies such as flour, sugar, and canned food. Palestinian sources and eyewitnesses confirmed that aid drops began in northern Gaza on the evening of the same day.
