On the same day, US media reported that President Donald Trump was expected to meet with senior officials to discuss options for responding to the escalating situation in Iran.

The meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, will focus on assessing the next steps for the US, including the possibility of military action. The White House and the Pentagon have not yet issued official comments on the agenda or expected outcomes of the Tuesday meeting.
