The event will feature a street festival, a cultural celebration of Central Highlands’ coffee and gong traditions; a culinary festival, and an exhibition of local goods and traditional crafts.
Performances blending Binh Dinh martial arts with Central Highlands gong music, traditional Tuong opera, and Bai Choi singing will also be held on this occasion.
Do Thi Dieu Hanh, Director of Gia Lai’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the program is designed to integrate traditional values and shape a unique cultural identity for Gia Lai.
"Following the recent administrative merger and in celebration of the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day, Gia Lai province will stage a special art performance that links the cultural heritage of the former Binh Dinh and Gia Lai regions into a new, distinctive Gia Lai. Preparations are currently underway to ensure the success of this event, which aims to attract tourists from across Vietnam, bring joy to the local people, and serve as a cultural and developmental milestone for the province’s future," said Ms Hanh.
