(VOVWORLD) - A series of commemorative activities marking the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday is held nationwide.

A special art program entitled “Ho Chi Minh – The Most Beautiful Name” was held at the Ho Guom Theatre in Hanoi on Saturday as a heartfelt tribute to President Ho Chi Minh. The program featured iconic songs about President Ho Chi Minh and showcased works by foreign artists inspired by President Ho Chi Minh, including “The Ballad of Ho Chi Minh” by British composer Ewan MacColl.

On the same day, a historical novel series “Nước non vạn dặm” (Ten Thousand Miles of Homeland) by author Nguyen The Ky was launched in the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site in Hanoi. The five-volume epic is considered a literary chronicle of President Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnamese revolutionary journey. Each volume portrays a specific historical period linked to the life and revolutionary activities of President Ho Chi Minh, from his youth in Nghe An, his journey abroad to find a path to national salvation, to his leadership in the wars for independence and reunification of Vietnam.

The Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in Hanoi held a ceremony to launch the bilingual book “Ho Chi Minh in the Visual Arts”. Compiled in Vietnamese and English, the publication is divided into two main sections: “President Ho Chi Minh, a source of inspiration for visual artists” and a curated collection of paintings and sculptures portraying President Ho Chi Minh. The artworks are grouped by themes including Ho Chi Minh in the Resistance Base, Ho Chi Minh with the People, and Landscapes of His Living and Working Places.

In Ho Chi Minh City, an exhibition titled “President Ho Chi Minh – A Great National Hero, the Brilliant Embodiment of the Virtue, Wisdom, Courage, and Conscience of the Vietnamese People and the Era”, was held.
