In his speech, Nguyen Duc Trung, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, said this year’s festival, on a national scale, features many exciting cultural and sports activities.
It promotes the life and revolutionary career of President Ho and the study of his ideology, morality, and personal style, while introducing a dynamic and developing Nghe An, said Trung.
“From now on, in the Sen village complex and the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site, there will be another meaningful project,” said Trung, adding, “The statue is a reminder to each of us to keep building our country, to make it more dignified and beautiful, and to step confidently into the new era, an era of aspiration for strength, comprehensive integration, and extensive reform.”

Party leader Lam and local officials cut a ribbon to inaugurate the statue, which is a gift from the Ministry of Public Security to the Party, administration, and people of Nghe An.
The 12.5-meter bronze statue stands at the Sen village stadium in Kim Lien commune, where President Ho Chi Minh spoke to local people during his two visits in 1957 and 1961.
