309 Vietnamese citizens repatriated from Angola

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnamese authorities, the Vietnamese Embassy in Angola and Vietnam Airlines brought home 309 Vietnamese nationals from Angola on Thursday and Friday. 

Passengers included children, the elderly, the sick, pregnant women, workers who have expired visas and employment contracts. The Vietnamese Embassy staff were sent to the airport to assist citizens to check-in and solve problems if needed.

Immediately after a safe landing at Van Don International Airport, all crew and passengers underwent a health check and were transported to designated quarantine areas in accordance with regulations.

The flight also transported Vietnam’s gifts including masks and medical protective gear to Angola.

Following the Prime Minister’s instruction, Vietnamese agencies continue plans to bring citizens back home to meet the needs of citizens and Vietnam’s quarantine capacity.
