(VOV) – Thanh Hoa and Ba Ria-Vung Tau held conferences on Wednesday to review 10 years of implementing the decree on sea border regulations and launch a maritime security program for the period of 2012 – 2015.

Over the past 10 years, those regulations have helped raise the awareness and responsibility of local authorities, organizations, and the public in managing and protecting sea border areas. Many mass movements to defend sea sovereignty and security have been carried out. 

Conference participants suggested that Vietnamese maps and sea maps should print in bold coastal lines and sea border lines acknowledged in Vietnamese maritime law to confirm Vietnam’s sovereignty over seas and islands including Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.
