At the fair of 770 exhibitors, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Hong Kong and Macau gives visitors a comprehensive view of Vietnam’s landscapes and cuisine through books. Visitors to the Vietnamese booth can learn about Vietnamese tourism destinations, take photos with cultural symbols, and learn about the origins and preparation methods of traditional dishes and the regions they come from.

Le Duc Hanh, Consul General of Vietnam in Hong Kong and Macau (China), said: “The Consulate General has introduced several books on Vietnamese cuisine and specialties from all three regions from the northern mountains to the Mekong Delta. Hong Kong people are very interested in Vietnamese food.”

The annual Hong Kong Book Fair always draws large crowds. Amir Lati, Consul General of Israel,  said: “I’ve been to Vietnam several times. I’ve eaten bánh mì and phở many times. Vietnamese cuisine is delicious. Vietnamese coffee is very famous.”

Nguyen Hanh Phuong, Vietnam’s youngest writer of fantasy fiction in English and author of the bilingual English-Vietnamese series “The Star Squad: The Quest for the Great Power”, presented her books at the fair.
