The change offers opportunities to integrate resources, complement tourism products, and increase the appeal and competitiveness of destinations.

According to UN Tourism, Vietnam received 300 million international tourist arrivals in the first quarter of 2025, up 5% from last year, and up 3% from pre-pandemic levels in 2019. Vietnam led the Asia–Pacific region in international tourist growth and ranked 2nd in post-COVID recovery rate. Globally, Vietnam ranked 6th in international tourist growth and 4th in total tourism revenue in Q1/2025, with a 29% increase since 2024.

10.6 million international visitors arrived in Vietnam in the first six months of the year. These achievements are attributed to tourism promotion, product development, and open visa policies that have made it easier for international tourists to enter Vietnam.

A number of prestigious global travel publications, including Travel + Leisure, Condé Nast Traveler, and National Geographic, have named Vietnam among their must-visit destinations because of its diverse landscapes, rich traditional culture, and unique cuisine.

The United Nations World Tourism Organization has repeatedly acknowledged Vietnam’s efforts in environmental protection, heritage preservation, and community-based tourism development.
