Mrs. Truoc, 92, is the mother of martyr Pham Van Loi, who made his sacrifice in the battle of Gac Ma Island on March 14, 1988.
On behalf of the delegation, Dr. Nguyen Phuong Duyen from Thanh Dong University, Hai Duong province, a member of the Youth Club for Homeland Sea and Islands, expressed gratitude to Mrs. Truoc and the martyrs who fought and sacrificed their lives to safeguard national sovereignty over the seas and islands.
