At a meeting with media agencies to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, in Hanoi, General Giang said that through these activities, the Minister of National Defense hopes that the media agencies will continue to actively convey the message that Vietnam is consistent with its independent and self-reliant foreign policy and Vietnam's "four no's" defense policy, which means no military alliances, no foreign bases, no siding with one country against another, and no use of force or threat of force in international relations.

Vietnam is determined to build a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern army to protect its people and territorial integrity, he said.
