Nguyen Van Thuan, Vice Chairman of the Thuan An communal People’s Committee, Hue city, said: “Started in 2022, the project is scheduled for completion on March 26. For the local people, the inauguration of the bridge will create more opportunities for local socio-economic, tourism and service development.”

The bridge will make travel between coastal areas much more convenient, completely replacing boat transport and current indirect routes. Tran Xuan Dan, a resident of Thuan An ward, said: “I am very delighted because this is the main transport route for the coastal area whose development will help improve people’s living standards. More jobs will be created.”

Thuan An bridge is expected to open up new development space for the marine economy, attract investment in tourism and services, and enhance connectivity along the central coastline. The bridge will serve as a vital “link” in Hue’s development strategy, balancing heritage preservation with the expansion of the marine economy.
