(VOVworld)-An exhibition entitled “Spratlys and Paracels belong to Vietnam–historical and legal evidence” opened in the central province of Phu Yen on Monday.

On display are 80 maps and documents written in Chinese-transcribed Vietnamese and French, four atlases featuring maps published in the UK, Germany, Australia, Canada and the US, and others items archived by the Republic of Vietnam administration between 1954 and 1975.  
The event affirms Vietnam’s sovereignty over the two archipelagoes, refutes distorted and false allegations, and awakens the patriotism of Vietnamese people. Photos of the waters and islands of Phu Yen are on display at the exhibit, which will close on Wednesday.
